After graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Richard Becker lived and worked in Japan for several years as a JET Programme participant, an experience that shaped both his worldview and his approach to working with people. He went on to serve as a business consultant, conducting on-site operational and business-improvement engagements for privately held companies across the United States and Canada — work that taught him to see a family's or a business's full financial picture, not just one piece of it. Richard began his career in financial services in 1995, later studying wealth management at Yale University's School of Management. He then started his own firm with a clear purpose: to help people not only prepare for retirement, but protect what they've spent a lifetime building — for themselves, and for the people who matter most to them. Over the years, he has helped thousands of families, educators, and small business owners throughout Southeast Texas plan with confidence. Richard's goal is to help clients find their financial potential — and protect it. With the heart of a teacher, he makes sense of investments, retirement income, and estate strategy through straightforward conversation, not jargon. Each consultation starts the same way: a real discussion about what you have, what you want it to do, and who you want it to reach. His main office is in LaCenterra in Katy, and he also works with clients in Beaumont at Lamar University.
